Morningstar’s founders have over 20 years of combined experience in energy investing
Trevor has 11 years of financial and investing experience in the energy space. Trevor spent 9 years in private equity before starting Morningstar, serving most recently as a Director at Stronghold Investment Management in Dallas and previously as a Vice President at First Reserve in Houston.
Prior, Trevor was an investment banking analyst at Barclays and has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Texas.
Matthew has 10 years of financing, land and investing experience in the energy space. Prior to founding Morningstar, Matthew most recently served on the investments team at Stronghold Investment Management, an energy private equity firm focused on various real asset investment strategies.
Prior to Stronghold, spent 5.5 years at oil and gas mineral funds focused on deploying capital across all core U.S. shale basins. Matthew has a B.S. in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
